3. Queen ants have wings.

The queen of the nest is the only female ant that has wings. Although, once they start a new colony they shed their wings.

4. There are more than 700 ant species in the United States.

Although there are hundreds of ant species only 25 of those invade people's homes.

5. Habitat alteration is the best way to keep ants out.
