Initial Visit

One of our friendly, experienced technicians will perform a thorough inspection of your home and look for any pest activity in and around it.

Based on the inspection, the technician will apply a customized treatment to your home to effectively eliminate insects, wasps, spiders and rodents.

It is typical for the initial service to take a longer time to perform than regular quarterly visits after your pests have been taken care of. In some cases, the initial service lasts an hour or more.

30-Day Follow-Up

We will perform another inspection and treatment 30 days later to verify that the first treatment worked properly and that there are no further issues. This service is the first quarterly visit.

Why Is the 30 Day Follow-Up Important?

For egg-laying insects and spiders, this service allows us to treat any adults that have hatched since the first treatment. This is important because certain insect eggs are unaffected by pest control products.

The 30-day follow-up service is also crucial in situations where rodents have been found in the home because it allows your technician to ensure that the rodent treatment plan is working properly.

During the 30-day visit, in addition to completing the routine maintenance portion of the service and paying attention to any insect activity, the technician will:

  • Check rodent traps and bait stations for activity.
  • Remove any rodents found in traps and replace bait as necessary.
  • Conduct an exclusion inspection to prevent further rodent infestations. This includes filling holes with impenetrable material and informing the customer if further carpentry or masonry work is required to eliminate entry points. This exclusion detail is not performed during the initial visit so as not to “lock” rodents inside the house.

Quarterly Scheduled Treatments for the Rest of the Year

For the rest of the year, we will send out a technician once a season to maintain your home’s protection and keep it free from insect and spider activity.

During each visit, your technician will:

  • Power spray your home’s foundation with a synthetic treatment. (During colder months, technicians may opt for dry products/dusts to increase the effectiveness of the products and ensure that the products do not freeze.)
  • Sweep any cobwebs and nests around the exterior and inside the garage (if access available).
  • Inspect exterior and interior (if accessible) for insect activity, proper sealing around doors, windows, garage doors, and exterior piping and wiring where they enter the home.
  • Perform a customized crack/crevice treatment and yard spot treatment as necessary.
  • Apply a botanically-derived treatment to your home’s interior (or synthetic for extreme pest situations).
  • Treat as otherwise required based on pest activity, specific needs and customer requests.

How We Treat for Insects, Wasps & Spiders

Our Hybrid Approach Provides Long-Lasting Results Using Botanically-Derived & Synthetic Solutions

We use a hybrid treatment for insects, wasps and spiders that provides long-lasting, effective results. Our hybrid approach includes botanically-derived or synthetic treatment for the inside of your home, and synthetic treatment for the outside.

Indoor Treatment with Available Botanically-Derived Options

For the inside of your home, we have botanically-derived options available that are able to provide effective control and extermination for a wide variety of insect and spider pests. Your technician will use a botanically-derived treatment if they feel it would effectively treat your pest issue(s).

For some extreme pest issues, synthetic treatments are necessary to treat them effectively. In many cases, after the initial synthetic treatment has been completed we will be able to switch back to a botanically-derived treatment for maintenance.

Outdoor Treatment with Synthetic Solution

For the outside of your home, your technician will use a synthetic solution applied to the home foundation, any cracks or crevices, and potential problem spots in the yard.

Wasp Nest Treatment for External, Ground or Internal Nests

Wasps and hornets are unique in that they can be treated directly at their source. We treat all common kinds of wasp and hornet nests you may have, including external nests outside or on your home, ground nests in your yard and internal nests that cannot be accessed directly because they are behind walls.

  • External nests: these are generally treated by removing the nest and/or treating it directly with a solution to kill the wasps on contact. Our technicians have an extender arm that allows them to reach nests up to approximately 30 feet high.
  • Ground nests: these are generally treated by digging up the nest and/or treating it with a solution. Depending on the type and size of the nest, we may use a solution that kills the wasps on contact or one that they spread around to each other and kills the nest over a period of 3 to 5 days.
  • Internal nests: these nests are generally behind a wall or barrier of some sort so the nest cannot be directly accessed. We treat these nests with the same kind of solution we use for ants and other community insects. The solution is applied to the outside of the nest and brought inside on the bodies of workers. They then spread it around to the rest of the nest and it kills the entire colony within 3 to 5 days.
