A former postal village, Braggville, Massachusetts borders the towns of Holliston, Medway and Milford, the boundaries never even being officially defined. Once a flourishing town due to the work of Ariel Braggs, a local shoemaker and manufacturer with his own “rags to riches” story, the town’s unoffical history started in 1785 and ended, due to economic decline, in the summer of 1919, when they boarded up the post office. Massachusetts Route 16 continues to run through Braggville, splitting the town equally in two, and running parallel to the old railway.
